Christine Buckley

Christine Buckley is a journalist, editor, and translator raised in New York and based in Paris after living several years in Vietnam. Her work has appeared in Best Women’s Travel Writing, The New York Times, Al Jazeera, LA Weekly, and on National Public Radio and Radio France International. She earned an MFA in creative nonfiction from Antioch University in Los Angeles and is the co-author of Slave Hunter: One Man’s Quest to Free Victims of Human Trafficking (Simon & Schuster) and the translator of Valentine Goby’s Petit éloge des grandes villes (Small Praise for Big Cities, Éditions Gallimard), excerpts of which have been published in Asymptote. She is a news editor at France 24 and is currently revising a memoir entitled People From an Outside Country: Vietnam, America, and the Places in Between.
